Birmingham Confirm Departure

Birmingham City have confirmed that Tom Adeyemi`s move to Cardiff City is now complete.

The club have said the fee is to remain undisclosed although we have had reports it is in excess of £1 million plus add ons and a sell on fee.

Cardiff were after a midfielder to plug the gap of two outgoing players of their own. Jordan Mutch, former Birmingham graduate and Midel who is off to Inter Milan. Adeyemi then handed in a transfer request after just three week of being Birmingham vice captain.

The deal went through after the club met with the player and he expressed a burning desire to leave. Having little choice but to sell due to Cardiff`s offer of much higher wages, Blues accepted the bid a couple of days ago.

The deal comes at a terrible time for Birmingham as they have lost a player that would have played a lot of games in central midfield for them this season. It is understood money from this deal and the Jordan Mutch sell on clause is to be released to help Birmingham fund a replacement for Adeyemi.

Blues now turn their focus to Middlesbrough, with players like Reece Brown; David Edgar and Paul Caddis possibilities to come into midfield.

Edgar and Brown, then Novak, Shinnie and Cotterill with Donaldson up front. Gray off the bench to run at them second half.

Edgar and brown with Cotterill and Gray wingers. Donaldson and Thomas up front. That's what I'd do... And I am 94 games unbeaten on football manager ;)

But Clark isn't going to play your system Sask, maybe grab a word with him as he gets off the coach? - from what I have been told, Clark is telling the players the team today at training.

Fair enough.. As long as we win, and the system works, I'm all good. Just, that's what I'd do. Don't worry, I'll let Clark know ;)
