'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Leeds Manage To Annoy Their Own Fans

Leeds United managed to anger their own fans on Twitter by asking them to stay awake to then announce two player departures.

The club tweeted saying

'Don't go to bed just yet ... there is still work to be done #deadlineday #lufc'

They then went on to confirm the departure of Matt Smith to Fulham and then promising youngster Dominic Poleon had been sold to Oldham.

Safe to say their fans were far from happy with them. It is unclear why they asked fans to stay up when they clearly going to be expecting incoming transfers.

It is unlikely something as bizarre as this would happen at Birmingham City FC, the club have a very switched on media team who do a great job engaging with the fans.

How would you feel if Blues did do this to us? is it really that big of a deal?

Quite right, the mighty Birmingham never try to sign someone on deadline day so this kind of thing would never happen to them.

The tweet concerns outgoing players, so I believe it could very well happen to us ... that's the whole point of the article isn't it?

They need to learn to keep it stum. The last hour spoilt what had beena good transfer window for Leeds.
