Demarai Gray Destined for The Premier League

Demarai Gray Destined for The Premier League

Lee Clark has said that Demarai Gray will end up in the Premier League and he wants that to be with Birmingham City.

Birmingham rejected a bid from Crystal Palace on deadline day for Demarai Gray. As a result of this Clark has sat down with Graya nd his mother to lay out his development plans for Demarai.

Clark said it is important Birmingham hold off bigger clubs coming in for the clubs young talent as they are the way back to the Premier League for the club.

He admitted losing players like Nathan Redmond and Curtis Davis has made it hard in recent years to move forward.

Gray is developing pretty quickly and Blues will have to fend off increased interest in January if they are to keep it. Gray being a Birmingham fan may not necessarily keep him in royal blue for long.

Redmond deserved his chance in a higher division and he got it. Indeed he will play against his boyhood club for the first time on Saturday with Norwich.

Gray will also reach this point in his career. We can only hope Birmingham will be as ready for the Premier League as he is when the day comes.

Chris, quit doing articles about Gray leaving ;) We have a reputation as a feeder club, just a shame we can't hold onto good talented players.
