'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We Were Lucky

Steve Bruce has admitted that Blues were lucky to come away with anything in our match against Luton.

Speaking on the official site after our poor performance in the 2-2 draw, Bruce said:

'We still remain unbeaten but we can count ourselves a bit lucky tonight.

'At times it reminded me of the Norwich game and too many people had an off night but that happens in football.

'And to give Luton credit they have come and played and caused us problems.

'They put up a really good show and they nearly went away with a victory.

'The one thing you can't question about my players is their resilience.

'We could have quite easily given up but we've huffed and puffed all night and eventually got away with it.

'But you would have struggled to send a lifeboat out in those conditions.

'The weather was atrocious and the pitch was awful, but we're digging it up in the next week or so, so that will obviously help us.'
