'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Manager Of The Month

A nice Christmas present for the boss no doubt, Steve Bruce is the manager of the month for December.

Blues managed to remain unbeaten throughout the month and won five of the six league matches.

Sitting proud at the top of the division finally, Bruce was obviously pleased to pick up the award but maybe could've shown a bit more humility than trying to imply fans don't know anything about football.

Speaking on the official site he said:

'I am really pleased to win Manager of the month for December.

'It just goes to show what a strange game this is.

'A few weeks ago I had people calling for my head and now at the end of the year we are top of the league and in a really good position, although we all know there is a long way to go and a lot of work to be done.

'I think people look at Birmingham and think we are where we should be but people away from the club do not realise what we have done at the club in a really short space of time.

'We lost 15 players at the end of last season and made a conscious decision to bring in young hungry players which we have done.

'Credit has to be paid to them and my staff for getting us in this position but as I say there is still a long way to go.'

Well done Steve, I had you down to be one of the managers to be sacked before christmas. You've proved me and many others wrong. Well done.
