'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bruce On Muamba Deal

Steve Bruce has made it clear that he would love to sign Fabrice Muamba on a permanent deal, but he believes this month is too early for that.

Bruce has been a long time admirer of Muamba who he believes could be or possibly is Blues' Vieria, and he has for many months expressed his interest in tying up a permanent deal for the player.

Speaking to the local press he has however admitted that making such a move this month will probably come too early for Arsenal to accept. Bruce believes he has a better chance of convincing Arsenal to let the youngster go if he waits until the summer.

'We are delighted with his contribution and I know Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger wants him to get a football education here.

'If they wanted to make him available we'd listen but I think January is too early to discuss a permanent move.'
