Birmingham City to rebuff offers for striker

Blues manager Harry Redknapp will rebuff West Ham's advances for Che Adams.

Adams has attracted admiring glances from several clubs since joining Blues from Sheffield United for £2m in August. But the 20-year-old is a big part of Redknapp`s plans for next season and Vital Birmingham understands that offers for the striker will not be considered.

Adams has more than two years remaining on his current contract and is thought to be happy at St. Andrews.

The Leicester-born youngster was also used as a wide player and a number ten last season, scoring seven goals. His goal at Bristol City on the final day of the season earned Blues a 1-0 win to ensure survival in the Championship.

West Ham may still try to tempt Blues with an offer in excess of £3.5m but Redknapp, who has been assured he had the final say in all transfer activity, will resist.

Way to go Harry . We need to get a good mix of the urgency and good promise of youth ,..and the very good technical ability and reliability of older players ,... and Adams is one of THE urgence and good promise of youth ...

Tell Sully £15m or get lost. That is the going rate. Premier clubs are flush with money. Typical of them Scrooge's trying to get players on the cheap. Let's hope TTA are a bit more cleverer than the last shower who sold our future generation for a pittance.

Lot depends on the players attitude. If he is got at and sulks-that's when the trouble starts.
