Matthew Upson has moved tonight to West Ham for an initial £6 million, with the fee set to rise to £7.5 million.
All I can say is thank God for that, I hope he helps get them relegated the greedy, unloyal waste of space of an excuse for a footballer.
Unfortunately Steve Bruce looks a bit silly as does the board after all the 'he won't be sold', 'he won't be sold unless it's silly money and well more than £10 mil' nonsense we've heard recently.
But even allowing for that I genuinly hope West Ham are now relegated, although I wouldn't put it past the pathetic excuse for an so called England international (a few pointless caps) to have included a relegation release in his contract. Maybe he has a verbal agreement with West Ham that he can leave for a certain fee after 3 years aswell. I bet his agent has already pre booked radio spots for when he gets itchy feet.
I don't understand him signing a 4 1/2 year contract though, relegation, boredom, another long injury, another attack of the greedies will never allow him to see that through to the end.
Another contract in Upson's career that won't be worth the paper it's written on!
So Matthew we salute you, I hope your idea of an intact reputation has some resemblance to the repuation you now have amongst the footballing community.
It must be nice to know a soon to be relegated team is the best you can do in terms of making a step up from Blues, but I suppose you will join any team if the weekly wage is right. As I'm sure you will do soon enough again.
Thanks for the few memories, but more importantly thanks for making us a whopping great big profit on you.
I wish you a long, and often relegation threatened career.
I probably sound bitter, I just can't stand the disloyalty amongst players thesedays. I hope he was fined the maximum before he left for bringing the club into disrepute.
