Confirmed: Blues goalkeeper moves to Premier League Burnley

Confirmed: Blues goalkeeper moves to Premier League Burnley

Birmingham City have confirmed that goalkeeper Adam Legzdins has joined Premier League side Burnley on a three-year deal.

Blues have received an undisclosed fee for their third choice keeper.

With chances becoming even more limited for Legzdins this term following the arrival of former Brighton and Hove Albion man David Stockdale, now seems like the right time for the academy graduate to move on.

The 30-year-old played second fiddle to Tomasz Kuszczak last season and he will now go and play back up to England goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

Blues fans, have the club done the right thing selling Adam Legzdins? Let us know in the comment section down below!

All the best to Adam, he is a good pro, and lets hope he get some game time as he has been very patient over the years mainly as number 2 and never moaned about it.

Keeping three goalkeepers happy who are all senior players is impossible. Legzdins was third choice,at this stage in his career he needs and deserves first team action.I wish him well, hope he has a good career and thanks for his time with us.Cheers Adam, thank you. KRO

With Derby confirming the Adams bid of £3m.Rowett has defended this figure in view of the 300,000 he paid for him when our manager. Please now watch what statements come from Harry. We expect things like 'we are building a team around him' or 'not for sale end of'. We really hope this is the case and not another talent sadly being sold on the cheap.

If he is sold on it will prove any doubts we have about TTA. I can't see the manager selling him,I hope he does not.I would imagine Redknapp would walk away if the board went ahead and cashed in on another star of the future. Rowett, loved him at Blues,a bit unhappy with him now trying to raid our quality Che Adams.

Very pleased that Harry has made the Adams statement. Just what we needed. Only hope that Rowett doesn't press him to hand in a transfer request. That's how they do things nowadays sadly.

If Adams does well this season he'll be worth £15m at least. Maybe even £20m if the upward prices trend continues. £3m? Rowett you're having a laugh. We may consider swapping for Vydra, Russell and Nugent. Yes all three.
