Transfer Talk: Blues interested in Chelsea forward

Transfer Talk: Blues interested in Chelsea forward

Birmingham City are interested in taking Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga on loan until the end of the season, according to Goal.com.

The young forward was part of Chelsea's extensive pre-season tour but Blues manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful that the Premier League side will allow him to leave on loan.

On Monday, Blues completed three loan signings, with Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Brammall joining from Arsenal and Sam Gallagher coming in from Southampton, all of which were season-long loans.

Despite now having five strikers to choose from, although Che Adams is still injured, Redknapp is hopeful that Antonio Conte will allow Boga to join Blues to further bolster their attacking options.

I think Harry Redknapp has surprised many of us who thought he would go down his tried and trusted route with other clubs he has managed, bringing in older players he has worked with before however no,he is adding in youth who will blend in with some of the experienced players. It's fantastic to see so many options up front, the loan addition of Jeremie Boga would be very welcome thank you ! I suspect Clayton Donaldson will be allowed to leave,he probably will, there is no room for sentiment in football however I do think we have a lot to thank him for in a period of our history when we had no money to spend he has done a great job.Sure he was not a prolific goalscorer however scored many vital goals, held the ball up to bring others into play,I for one thank him for that,if he is to leave I wish him well and another club in league one would love to have him around.Same applies to Stephen Gleeson and to a lesser extent Robert Tesche ,was great on loan however never quite played as well after signing.Don't like the term used as "dead wood",that implies people who don't do their job,Donaldson certainly has done so to the best of his ability. A new chapter for Blues,it could become an exciting season, just hope these players click quickly together. KRO
