McSheff Is Player of the Month

Gary McSheffrey has been voted the PFA Coca Cola Championship Fans' Player of the Month for January.

Jesus that's a mouthful!

The winger topped the charts for January on the PFA's website (givemefootball.com) and it would be naive to think his performance against Premiership giants (in their own minds) Newcastle didn't play a major part in getting the vote of non Blues fans.

Sheff will receive his award from one of the supporters who voted for him before the match against Sunderland later this month.

He's had better months, but I think the Newcastle game as I said was the swinger for this.
