Manager update: Karanka rejects Blues

Manager update: Karanka rejects Blues

Former Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has turned down the chance to become the new Birmingham City manager.

The 44-year-old reportedly held talks with the club, but won't be taking the job after talks broke down.

It is thought that Karanka wasn't convinced about the project at St. Andrew's.

Steve Cotterill is now the firm favourite to take over.

It was the other way around. Blues want someone who can work with Carsley, which is the key. Cotterill and LC match up.

There maybe better teams than Blues in this division but unless they have the passion , unless they have the true grit ..unless the owners have the faith to back the manager ,unless they have a great set of fans behind the team , Karanka,s teams will go nowhere ..Is anybody out there ,......IS ANYBODY OUT THERE ...Take us to the promised land ... COME ON ....
