2017/18 FA Cup 3rd Round Draw Next Monday

2017/18 FA Cup 3rd Round Draw Next Monday

The third round draw for the 2017/18 FA Cup will take place on Monday evening.

With the second round stage kicking off on Friday evening in the game between AFC Fylde and Wigan Athletic, and fixtures set for Saturday and Sunday, the clubs through to the third round draw will be known by the time the Slough Town v Rochdale fixture on Monday evening comes to a close.

The third round draw itself will take place ahead of that kick off on Monday December 4, and it will take place simultaneously on BT Sport and BBC Two with programmes commencing at 7pm approximately.

The third round stage of course sees entry for Premier League and Championship clubs and third round ties have been provisionally set for the first weekend in January (Saturday 6).

Again fans can expect a split with games starting on the Friday evening and finishing on a Monday evening with the television in mind.

Ball numbers for the draw will no doubt be allocated over the weekend, and the draw will no doubt be subject to a couple of replays if applicable but it'll be interesting to see who gets the so called 'plum ties' at this time of asking.

There are again no replays from the fourth round stage.
