Bristol City chase Blues loanee

Bristol City chase Blues loanee

Bristol City are preparing a £1m bid for Everton midfielder Liam Walsh, according to reports in the national media.

The 20 year-old is still officially on loan at Birmingham City until January 3 despite returning to his parent club.

It`s unlikely the loan deal will be extended beyond next month paving the way for Bristol City to get a deal off the ground.

Walsh, signed on deadline day in August by former manager Harry Redknapp, made three appearances for Blues. He was sent back to Merseyside by Steve Cotterill with the Blues boss anticipating a lack of first team opportunities for the youngster.

Rumours recently circulated regarding a training ground bust-up involving Walsh and Arsenal loanee Cohen Bramall. Coincidentally, Walsh`s time in the second city came to an abrupt end soon after.
