Blues handed boost in race for Fleetwood Town striker

Blues handed boost in race for Fleetwood Town striker

Birmingham City have been handed a major boost in their efforts to sign Fleetwood Town striker Devante Cole with their main rivals Sheffield United confirming the loan signing of Manchester United striker James Wilson.

It was thought that the Blades were the front runners for Cole with Blues later joining the race for him but with 22-year-old Wilson now being confirmed, it looks as though they may have eased their pursuit of Cole.

Vital Birmingham confirmed earlier this week that Blues had made an initial bid of around £650,000 plus add-ons for the former trialist but with everything seemingly going quite in the last day or two, this could be one that we have to wait around for.

Three wins on the trot and a few games to go before the window closes , a player now would give the team a bit more turbo ,,COME ON we need to keep this run going ...sign Cole .....sign Marriott....sign Mutch and lets keep it going ..get them in there ...

For me Cole is a bit of a gamble but if it isnt breaking the bank then it looks like he has some potential and would give us some cover and options. Marriot will be priced too high and i dont think Palace will let Mutch go anywhere unless they get some players of their own in. They have a lot of injuries

Back to depression then -gazal ...what the hell they are waiting for I don't know , fans were calling for the board to sort new signings out a month before the window .....it seems to me that if they fart you hear it 10 minutes later .......

If what SC says today that no bids have been made for any player, then I am surprised.Perhaps he is right reporting this and I understand his reasonings. However,I expect a flurry of signings before the Preston game.Success against Derby, even a draw would ease a potentially panic buy of a lower ranked striker.

SInce learning of the new rules regarding player quotas etc.it now depends on whether we can get Jenkinson and Bramall returned. Also it seems that getting Kyle McFarlane back is a good thing..perhaps with a fit Adams and Gallagher we may have enough fire power .Wishful thinking on my part maybe.

Improve the supply route and even our current crop of strikers will score goals. Get Josh Morris or Maddison and get rid of Lowe, Jenkinson and Gleeson.

Ijaz".last 24hours we have heard Cotterill and the snails pace regarding the need to get players out before we even remotely consider any new arrivals. All becomes surely clearer now as to why Cotterill was appointed and was never in danger of being sacked. We are back to the pauper days again with insulting rubbish being spouted from the club.TTA need to be more upfront with the fans, that’s all,.
