Blues won't change Rifle for Sausage

Korona Kielce striker Grzegorz Piechna has decided to stay at the club for at least the next six months, despite Blues interest in trialling him.

The 29-year-old, rated at around 700,000, has scored sixteen goals in seventeen appearances for the Polish club, but Piechna, nicknamed 'The Sausage', has decided to stay in Poland while he weighs up his options:

'I've gone off the idea of joining Birmingham. I've decided after considering my options, to stay in Poland for the next six months.

'If I finish as top scorer in Poland, it should be easier for me to move abroad.'

With Walter Pandiani set to move to Spanish club Espanyol for 1 million, Bruce is instead likely to move for Charlton striker-cum-midfielder Jason Euell, after recently watching him in action for Charlton Reserves.
