Blues sell Danns to Palace

Blues sell Danns to Palace

Birmingham midfielder Neil Danns has moved to Crystal Palace on a three-and-a-half year deal, worth an initial £600,000.

The 25-year-old, who moved to St Andrews from Colchester in the summer of 2006, made just two starts this season and two appearances as a subsitute and seemed unlikely to break into Alex McLeish's starting XI.

The fee will rise to £850,000 if Palace, currently fifth in the Championship, win promotion to the Premier League - representing a decent return on the £500,000 Birmingham paid for the player.
