Sunday 29 December
Unbeaten in eight games and three clean sheets on the trot would make you think that City are beginning to get their act together, but they haven't scored in the last two outings although the games were against tough opposition in Nottingham Forest and Wigan.
On Sunday Blues face another tricky test, this time they face Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, another side that have been improving slowly over the season so far, they are currently on a four game unbeaten run which consists of two wins and two 0-0 draws.
What Blackburn do have however, is a goal scoring machine in Jordan Rhodes, he has 13 goals so far this season and has netted three in December alone and although the club sit in a midtable position of 11th place, they are only four points away from a play off place which was the least they wanted to achieve this season.
At home Rovers are not too keen on giving goals away either, they have only lost twice at Ewood so far this season and conceded only seven goals in league games.
Tough game ahead for Blues, but they are well capable of keeping the unbeaten run going.
Lee Clark: It`s the whole team that is making us hard to beat. We`ve got the work ethic from the front players to the back. The good thing for me is not just about us being hard to beat when we haven`t got the ball, we`ve been looking really positive.
I know we haven`t scored in the last couple of games but that isn`t an issue for me as we are making chances and we`re getting people in there.'
Gary Bowyer: 'Birmingham have gone and drawn away at Wigan Athletic, I think that is eight games they have gone without defeat now so it is going to be a tough game for us.
'You never know what they are going to come with, they might come and try and stop us playing so it will be up to us to be a little bit cuter in front of goal.
'It is work in progress and it is about us being ruthless in front of goal. We have now kept six clean sheets in the last nine games, we have to keep working very hard and stick at it.
'We just urge everybody to stick together and rally behind the team.'
Blackburn striker Josh King is set to return to the first team after coming on as a substitute against Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day. He had been suffering a dead leg.
Corry Evans and Dickson Etuhu (both ankle) are doubts and will face late tests.
You would have to be stupid not to recognise the threat that this chap poses.
Striker Jesse Lingard starts a three-match suspension for Birmingham and may have played his last game on loan from Manchester United.
Boss Lee Clark has no fresh injury concerns but has vowed to make changes because of the hectic festive schedule.
Played a major part at the back this season and has certainly helped out when it comes to clean sheets
The last three meetings between Blackburn and Birmingham have all ended in 1-1 draws. This includes both meetings in the Championship last season.
Blackburn drew 0-0 with Sheffield Wednesday on Boxing Day and are unbeaten in their last four matches. This is their longest unbeaten run of the season so far.
Birmingham's unbeaten run stretches to eight Championship matches. They have drawn five and won three of those games. This matches Derby's eight-match unbeaten record and is the joint-longest current unbeaten run in the Championship. (bbc sport)
Scott Duncan: Duncan has been in charge of 18 games so far this season, showing 37 yellow cards.
This is his first time in charge of a Birmingham City game.
Got 0-0 written all over it for me.
