Norwich Earn Point

2 - 2
Birmingham City

Carrow Road

20th September 2014/15:00

Attendance: 26,351 (762)

Birmingham had every right to feel aggrieved to only have one point for their endeavours against a much favoured Norwich side.

Norwich had the first chance of the game. Grabban volleyed over the bar from just six yards out. It was Birmingham who scored first, though. Callum Reilly opened the scoring in the 8th minute. Caddis teed up Reilly who had a go from 20 yards out.

Birmingham also had a penalty shout turned down. Donaldson went into the box and seemed to have been pulled down by Russell Martin. David Davis may have opened his account on another day with a similar long range strike. This time it was saved by an outstretched John Ruddy.

Blues then scored again. Demarai Gray with curling effort after being given the ball by Donaldson. Norwich missed a good chance before half time but Alex Tettey fired wide from in the area.

At half time Birmingham were well in the game and giving Norwich plenty to worry about.

It wasn't long before Cameron Jerome made his mark on the second half, coming back to haunt his former employers. Martin's low cross from the right was turned home.

A short few minutes later Jerome scored again with a header this time. Redmond was the supplier, 2-2 on 55 minutes.

Birmingham kept going, Cotterill's cross from the right found Donaldson but he put it straight at Ruddy. Norwich went close with Jos Hooiveld, his header was wide.

Redmond floated in from the wing late on to shoot wide. Caddis had a shot of his own go wide late on.

Birmingham finished up with a 2-2 draw against a much favoured Norwich side after causing all sorts of problem's for the leagues form side. A slight disappointment is that they lead 2-0 at half time.
