Birmingham City U21's

Monday 3rd November; 13:00pm

Attendance: Unknown

Richard Beale's lads started the slower of the two sides. The first 20 minutes of the game were dominated by the hosts, but weren't taking chances.

It took Huddersfield just five minutes to create a chance. James Fry almost beat his own keeper with a misplaced header back to Trueman. Luckily, the ball dropped wide of the post. A real let off.

After ten minutes, the exact same scenario. This time Adams' tried to head the ball back, Lolley got to the ball first, but Trueman was able to pinch the ball from the striker's foot.

It took a while, but finally the away side mustered their first attempt. Viv Solomon-Otabor, who has had a good few games, beat two defenders and was unlucky to not hit the target.

Blues were gaining momentum and should have taken the lead after Brown whipped in a delightful corner, only for Adams to head off target.

After 40 minutes, Birmingham had the ball in the back of the goal. The linesman's flag denying the visitors the lead. Mitch Hancox saw his cross scrambled into the goal by Johnstone, but the goal didn't stand. Correct decision by the official.

Fry was again at fault for a Huddersfield chance after fifty minutes. Trueman, again, saved the Blues. Only just though, as he held it on the line.

The Blues were coming under increasing pressure. Flo Bojaj heading just over the bar after Will Boyle fired in a delightful cross.

Sixty minutes gone and yet again, Trueman kept the score 0-0. Boyle headed the corner straight at the keeper, who held onto the ball well.

Trueman was becoming a hero. Sondre Tronstad escaped the Blues defence after a brilliant through ball by Holmes. The Blues goalkeeper winning the 1v1 battle.

It was only in stoppage time that the Blues had a chance. Adams' executed an accurate header which was hacked off the line by the Terriers' defence.

Trueman almost topped off his fabulous game with a goal. The 'keeper aimed for Brown but the bounce beat Lloyd Allinson in the Terriers' goal, but unfortunately beat the goal too.

The Blues have Trueman to thank as the game ended 0-0.
