"We struggled last season to keep a clean sheet," he said. "We actually defended well in terms of goals against column overall, but we struggled to keep a clean sheet.

"We always made an error, or you always say a goal that you lose was avoidable even if it was a brilliant goal from the opposition`s point of view.

"But it`s nice to see two clean sheets, nice for the goalkeepers, great for the defenders because they take great pride, as I did myself, in getting shut-outs."
