'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gaffers View: Barnsley (h)

Kevin Phillips and Garry O`Connor were both on the mark again for Birmingham as they beat Barnsley 2-0 at St Andrews. After the game the duo were praised by boss Alex McLeish.

He said: "I felt we didn`t get enough crosses into the box [in the first half] but the ones we did were asking to be put into the net.

"Stuart Parnaby`s was a delicious cross and Kevin, as only Kevin knows how do it, scored.

"Garry really didn`t get going, but that was down to the service as well.

"The one time he was elusive to Darren Moore and his partners - they marshalled him well - he scored."
