Rochdale manager Garry Hill was pleased with his side`s performance against Birmingham last night, but he wasn`t going to get carried away.

He told the BBC: 'The performance will be forgotten in a few days while the result stays in the mind and on the records.

'We carved out some really good opportunities but we are on a steep learning curve.

'We have to let players make mistakes, that's how you learn. But mistakes mean you lose and modern football suggests losing games loses you your job.'
