Gaffers View Sheff Weds h 3-0
Birmingham City had no trouble at all getting themselves into the quarter finals of the FA Cup after brushing aside Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

A 3-0 scoreline did not in any way flatter the Blues who now go on to face Bolton in the last eight, giving them a great chance of getting into the semi final.

Manager Alex McLeish was pleased with the way his side performed seeing as he rested key members of the squad.

He said: 'In terms of allowing players to recharge batteries and being able to change the team, it was a good day for us.

'It was good for some players to come in and get some much-needed match practice.

'It is great to be involved in the cup competitions at this stage but I hope it doesn't take its toll in terms of our premier goal, which is Premier League status.

'My big craving is the Premier League. We definitely don't want the cup runs to take the steam out of the players.'
