Lee Clark was not too happy with the result at Hillsborough last night but held his hands up and said the fault lay with himself.

The Blues manager saw his team go down 3-2, but he knew that it was during the first half that the game was lost.

That was down to him said the boss after he started the game with five across the midfield, that just did not work at all so in the second half he switched things around to 4-4-2 and things looked slightly better.

'I take responsibility for the team, the formation I went with,' Clark told the Birmingham Mail.

'When Nikola Zigic came on it improved things, and the change of formation did as well.

'And the change in the focus of the players was better.

'I knew that their crowd would be right behind them, first game back in the Championship for a while

'I went for the three central midfield players in a 4-3-3, hoping we could dictate the tempo and be strong in the middle.

'But we actually gave them momentum because we were quite poor on the ball in the first-half.

'We had comfortable possession for the first two goals that we gave away.

'That resulted in us being 2-0 down and giving us far too much to do.

'We had a right good go second-half but it wasn't to be.'

What a bloooak.Has he started jumping up and down,running up and down outside his dug out waving his arms about shouting and balling at the top of his voice yet? Or is he still at the standing at the edge of his technical area with his arms folded motionless with his face screwed up stage.The lively stage is the most entertaining,but sadly it signifies that he's run out of ideas again.His antics are entertaining and give you a welcome break from watching what his pleeeaz are doing on the pitch.
