Clark's View - Forest - Away

Clark's View - Forest - Away
Blues manager Lee Clark was left feeling very disappointed after his side let a two goal lead slip in the final 17 minutes of the game with Nottingham Forest.

Clark's side set their stall out to choke Forest's style of play and in the second half struck with two goals that looked like it was going to send Blues on their short journey home with all the points.

But they let the home side back into the game with a wonder strike from Simon Cox, then Dan Harding found the net to leave Blues hanging on for a point.

Clark told reporters: 'A point away from home is a good result, particularly against a side of Forest's ability.

'But when you are 2-0 up with little over 15 minutes left to play it is very disappointing to have to settle for a point.

'The players were excellent but we were guilty of dropping too deep, giving the initiative to the Forest lads...and they took it.

'We knew what Forest were all about but we stopped them playing and they were not cutting us open as they can. I think there is a fair chance that we gave them their hardest game of the season and that is great credit to my players.

'There were so many things for us to be pleased about - not least Leroy Lita's debut. He linked up well with Marlon King, they worked hard together and I think he's going to be a massive asset to us.'
