'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Oppositions View - Grayson, Huddersfield.

Huddersfield manager Simon Grayson left St Andrews on Saturday 'satisfied' with the job his side had done after beating Birmingham 1-0.

While Blues look like a side that either can't or won't play together, Huddersfield took full advantage and looked good value for their narrow win.

In fairness the score line could have been a bigger one had the visitors took the chances that they created, especially in the first half.

But as it was, Jermaine Beckford netted the only goal of the game when he struck on 25 minutes.

Blues were unlucky to lose Nikola Zigic in the second half after a challenge on Callum Woods with the resulting red card looking a little harsh.

After the game, Grayson told Sky Sports: 'I think deservedly we got the win, getting any points in the Championship is never easy

'We started the game very well, very brightly, pressurised Birmingham when we needed to, played in the right areas with purpose and created some good opportunities. I'm delighted from that point of view.

'To come here and get a result is satisfying from my point of view after two tough home defeats.'

I have to admit I have always rated Grayson as a good manager since he was at Blackpool
