'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gaffers View: Leeds (away)

Birmingham boss Lee Clark was more than happy with the Birthday present of three points that striker Leroy Lita hand for him on Saturday at Leeds.

The man on loan from Swansea fired home from long distance late on in the game and Clark was delighted.

The win was Blues first for some time after having a poor start to the season under Clark, but the win may just be the thing that the side needs just to turn the corner and get better results.

And Clark had praise for Lita, he told reporters after the game: "It was a goal worthy of winning any game. I was shouting for him to pass but it was a goal once it left his foot. It went like a rocket.

"My birthday seems a lot sweeter now. I`ve got my family and friends coming down and they wanted us to get a good result."

No doubt about it, it was a stunning goal, but it would be great to see more goals no matter what the standard of them are.
