'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gaffer's View: Ipswich Home

Birmingham manager Lee Clark had plenty to think about after seeing his side scrape a draw at home to Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Ipswich were in top when Christophe Berra opened the scoring in the first half.

After that, Darren Randolph kept Blues in the game before Chris Burke pulled the sides level once more late on.

Not only was it an equaliser for the club, it was also the first goal scored on home turf for Blues so far this season.

Clark said: 'At least in the second half the players were true to themselves as individuals.

'We did not create any chances in the first half but we had a go in the second half and had a bit of luck with a deflection to give us the equaliser.'

Clark also had good words to say about keeper Randolph, he added: 'He has continued his impressive start at the club.

'The whole package with him has been excellent, coming for crosses and his distribution enabled us to try and play on the counter attack.

'He has shown everyone he is a first-class acquisition and I feel I have obtained a good package. We are absolutely delighted with him.'
