Clark's Best Pre-season Ever

Clark's Best Pre-season Ever

Manager Lee Clark faced the press this morning ahead of the start of the season and here is what he had to say.

The boss described it as the best pre-season he has ever been involved in. That goes for his whole career, as a player, coach and now a manager. He said:

"I can`t wait for Saturday"

Matt Green is the only name he said is injured in the physio room, he said the Spector minutes away at New Saints were pleasing.

Clark said that there are to be some disappointed lads on Saturday as they won`t be selected but urged them to use it as motivation to get into the team. This problem has arisen by many players performing well and it coming down to who has outperformed their competitor.

"Matt Green is the only one working with the physios at the moment. Jonathan Spector got good minutes at The New Saints under his belt last night.

There will be a lot of disappointed lads when I name that XI on Saturday but they need to use that as motivation."

Birmingham take on Middlesbrough this Saturday in their first competitive game since surviving the drop last season.
